The Camargue horse is an ancient breed of horse indigenous to the Camargue area in southern France. The  Camargue white horses embrace their wild, free spirit.

The making of this photography work was an emotional experience, connecting with such freedom searchers was empowering and being with them during their quiet times gave me a feeling of inner peace which I will always cherish. 

Forward - Photographing horses is a thrilling experience and can often feel like a battle of wills when standing in the direct path of wild horses running towards you. I often go through a range of emotions from sheer delight, and excitement, to fear.

Once you commit to the photograph you have to fully commit to standing still as they run toward you as it's so easy to run in the opposite direction which would certainly be a recipe for disaster as the horses have already mapped out their journey around you be it only inches away from my camera. Feel the fear and do it anyway.
